GaDangme Will Work Again By Nii Ayaafio Tetteh I, the president of GaDangme Youth Association
Nii Ayaafio Tetteh I, the president of GaDangme Youth Association has organized a press conference to vehemently condemn Diana Asamoah over her utterances against Homowo, the well known festival of the Ga people of Accra.
This comes after Diana Asamoah, a gospel musician in her bid to congratulate a well known idol worshiper cum Christian and interjected with a statement that connotes that, she anticipates Homowo will not be celebrated in the near future giving a false impression that Homowo is a celebration with its roots in idol worship
Nii Ayaafio in the press conference stated that he has handed the case over to the Acting President of The Ga Traditional Council, Nii Adotey Otintor II to bring the gospel musician to book within one week.
He also added that, he believes and abides in the laws of the country; therefore he will not use violence to tackle the issue as some groups of people have done in the past.
Homowo is a festival celebrated by the Ga people of Accra to hoot at hunger in remembrance of a famine their ancestors faced in the days of old.
This move by Nii Ayaafio Tetteh I is part of an advocacy to check the widespread of disrespectful utterances from certain people against the Ga people.
