The Honorable Member of Parliament for the La Dade kotopon Constituency, Vincent Sowah Odotei (Obama) has presented valuable items to the La Traditional Council to support it’s preparation towards the burial of the Late Nii Dr. Kpobi Tettey Tsuru.
The late Paramount Chief of La died in January 2019 after a short illness and is yet to be laid to rest, a wait that has been further prolonged by this unfortunate pandemic, COVID 19.
Following his demise, the Honorable Sowah Odotei had met with elders of the Traditional Council to know what preparations there are in line with customary practice et al, to ensure the long serving and industrious chief who co-chaired his late contemporary, Nii Amugi Sorse, Ga Mantse’s burial rites as a member of the erstwhile Ga Traditional Council which comprised current paramountcies in the region, is a success.
In line with his duty as a son of the soil and one of royal lineage, the MP presented, 500 bags of cement, light bulbs, flood lights, ultra modern photocopier, scanner, lap top and an amount of GHC50,000, (with support from the National Communication Authority N.C.A. ).
These items are intended to assist the council in their preparation to present La in it’s fairest to the world during the burial of the late Nii La.
Admitting that this was not the first, the MP promised more support whiles the people of La prepare to bid their late ‘Mantsɛ’ farewell.
The late La Mantse, was an astute states man, a great statistician, a lover of hymns, a caring father and a loving husband.
May his soul find eternal peace.
